Why should I play in a High Altitude environment?

Altitude training is not a fad. It has a profound effect on sports performance. Training at high altitude improves oxygen delivery to the muscles. Many athletes use the benefit of the thinner air to train harder and perform better when they return to lower altitudes.
In high altitude the amount of oxygen in the blood is reduced because there is less oxygen in the air. To compensate for this, our kidney’s secrete a hormone called erythropoietin, which causes the body to create more red blood cells.

My motivation was higher than ever, so I started my preparation earlier than normal with high altitude training in Mexico to improve my strength and endurance. At high altitude it was hard work, but throughout that time I knew I was improving my fitness.” – Jalena Jankovic, #1 in the world in 2008 (statement made after her win in 2008)

For Ryan, growing up in Colorado and playing tennis, a family dream had been to start a tennis center here. His family was not in the position to start their own facility and so Ryan took his game on the road, playing professional tennis and becoming a coach traveling and teaching in Colorado, California and in Boston.

After meeting Leslie on the courts in Boston (Ryan was Leslie’s tennis coach) and as they were deciding how they might live their life together, the couple committed to Ryan’s childhood dream of providing Colorado with top notch tennis training.

In 2008 Leslie and Ryan began looking for a place to base their training and the search started closer to Ryan’s family home in Greeley, Co. After searching with no luck for the right place in North Denver, they moved their search to the Parker/Highlands Ranch area where there are a number of talented young players who have limited access to necessary tennis facilities and private coaching opportunities.

Over the past 18 months with the help of an incredibly generous tennis community the couple has poured their heart and soul into developing an exceptional training program perfect for players like you! If you are interested in working hard to improve your game Ryan and Leslie are ready for you?
